Carlisha is the owner and lead stylist at Southern Girl Natural Hair Studio. She is one of 2020 Faces of Sola and a 2x Midwest Hairstyling Awards Finalist.

Carlisha A. Duffey was born and raised in Texas. She is a true Southern Girl at heart. Carlisha is a free spirited, multi-medium artist. Her chosen mediums range from various Dance genres to Painting, Photography, Filmmaking, Pastry Artistry and more.

She is the Founder and CEO of Southern Girl Industries, a multi industrial Creative Firm, and the author of newly released book, Begin Again.

Carlisha earned her B.A in Dance from Sam Houston State University, studied Hospitality Management at the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC and is currently working towards her B.F.A in Painting and Photography.

When Carlisha is not writing or creating some form of art, you can find her on the ice Figure Skating, outdoor rollerblading, swimming laps or curled up with a good book.

She has created the life she has always wanted, and is living it doing what she loves. No two days are alike, and you never know what Carlisha will create next.
