Carlisha A. Duffey was born and raised in Texas. She is a true Southern Girl at heart. Carlisha is a free spirited, multi-medium artist. Her chosen mediums range from various Dance genres to Painting, Photography, Filmmaking, Pastry Artistry and more.
Carlisha is the owner and lead stylist at Southern Girl Natural Hair Studio. She is one of the 2020 Faces of Sola, and a 2X Midwest Hairstyling Awards Finalist.
She is the Founder and CEO of Southern Girl Industries, a Multi Industrial Creative Firm, home to The Girl Cave Studios, a Content Creation and Photography Studio.
Carlisha along with her two sisters owns Blk Spiritualist, Your One Stop Shop for unique Jewelry, Crystals, Books and More.
Carlisha earned her B.A in Dance from Sam Houston State University, studied Hospitality Management at the Institute of Culinary Education in NYC.
Carlisha is the author of Begin Again, and is currently working on her next book The Rabbit Hole.
