Dance
I don't know how long I have been dancing, but I do know dance is my first language. It is the way that I speak. Even I decided to take a step back from dance it remained with me. Music still calls for me to interpret. to describe how I am feeling.
Dance is me in my most vulnerable state. It is an intimate experience, but I have learned that my gift was not necessarily meant for me to keep to myself.
Dance is sacred and I often want to hide. Even after all these years... after all this time.. I have realized I wasn't given these gifts to keep them to myself.
For me not to dance is for me not to speak. I think I have been silent long enough...

From growing up watching Scott Hamilton and Nancy Kerrigan, to discovering Surya Bonaly and Vanessa James,
I found where I belong.
On the ice I found myself at home.
Everything I am, every sport I played prepared me where fate would bring me one day…
